   Cryptoassets are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), as they are not recognised as regulated investments under UK law. This means you cannot claim compensation if something goes wrong. Likewise, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) will not be able to resolve complaints about such investments.  

3. Selling may not be straightforward

   There is no guarantee you can sell your cryptoassets when you want. Liquidity depends on market demand, and technical issues such as outages, hacks, or poor fund management can delay or prevent sales.  

4. Crypto assets can be complex

   Many crypto investments are complicated and hard to fully understand. Always carry out your own research, and remember the warning: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.  

5. Diversify your investments

   Putting all your money into crypto or any single investment is very risky. Spreading your investments across different types reduces your reliance on one asset performing well.
